Abstract:In this paper, the bast fiber of industrial hemp was used as raw material. The chemical composition and fiber morphology were analyzed. The results showed that the industrial hemp fiber had a high content of nitrate-ethanol cellulose, reaching 70.6%, while the lignin content was relatively low, only 9.6%. The average length of the fiber was 20.47 mm, the average width of the fiber was 22.50 μm, and the length and width ratio was 909.78, which was a high quality raw material for paper making. Then three different methods of soda-anthraquinone (NaOH-AQ), sulfate(KP) and alkaline subsodium-anthraquinone (AS-AQ) were used to prepare the pulp. Compared with commercial pulp, AS-AQ pulp had obvious advantages over NaOH-AQ pulp and KP pulp in terms of pulp yield, brightness, intrinsic viscosity and paper physical strength performance. So that AS-AQ was an ideal method for hemp bast fiber. |
