Abstract:In this paper, long-fiber tissue paper with high air permeability and high wet strength was used as the substrate, high-strength, high-transmittance, and soft long-fiber tissue paper with high barrier properties was prepared by coating modified cellulose nanomaterial. The effects of cellulose nanofibril (CNF), carboxymethylated modified cellulose nanofibril (C-CNF) and AKD dosages on the tensile strength air permeability and surface hydrophobicity of the coated paper were compared. The results showed that C-CNF exhibited better performance than CNF. When its coating concentration was 1.0%(coating amount 1.6 g/m2), the tensile index was 27.3 N·m/g, increased 46.0% compared to that of AKD coated paper. The contact angle between water and paper surface reached 121.5°, which was more hydrophobic than CNF coating, and compared to the sample coated with AKD emulsion, the hydrophobicity increased by 60.9%, while the air permeability was only 21.1 μm/(Pa·s), which was further lower than that of CNF coated paper sample and 60% lower than the sample coated with AKD emulsion, the water vapor permeablity was 1.95×10-11 g·m/(m2·s·Pa), 52% of that coated with AKD.The prepared paper had a good hydrophobicity barrier performance. |
