Study on Photocatalytic Treatment of Papermaking Effluent by CF Nano-titanium Dioxide Photocatalyst |

Abstract:The CF nano- TiO2 photocatalyst(nano- TiO2 doped with Ce、F)was prepared by using TiCl4、Ce(NO3)4 and NH4F as raw material and modified sol-gel method, crystal structure and optical absorption property of the CF photocatalyst were characterized by XRD and UV-vis DRS. The results indicated that the CF photocatalyst belonged to anatase structure and strong absorption in UV spectrum(≦400 nm). CODCr and chroma removal rate of the waste water from the second clarinet of a paper mill’s effluent treatment plant reached 88.9% and 95.2% respectively when the waste water was treated with the CF photocatalyst under the following conditions: pH value 4, dosage of catalyst 0.8 g/L and light radiation time 40 min. |
