| Abstract:The Results of the application of nano-CaCO3/starch, GCC/starch and starch only in surface sizing of paper were compared. Under the sizing amount of 1.5 g/m2, the nano-CaCO3 /starch film formed on paper surface was very smooth. The sizing degree was improved slightly, the smoothness increased up to 56.1%, tensile strength increased by 12.0%, surface strength and ink absorbency were improved significantly, while brightness and opacity were declined slightly. |
