Abstract:This paper mainly discussed several factors influencing the expansion rate of cigarette tipping base paper. Among many factors， selecting the pulp with low proportion of kink and curl fibers and reasonable beating degree are the most important. On the other hand， well controlled every production section is also beneficial to decrease the expansion rate of the paper．
