Abstract:Fatty alcohol defoamer was prepared by using natural fatty alcohol as the main raw material.The defoaming and anti foaming performances, particle size and storage stability of the fatty alcohol emulsion were studied through compounding different fatty alcohol, choosing various emulsifier and adjusting the ratio of emulsifier to fatty alcohol.The results showed that the fatty alcohol emulsion had the better performance and better cost benifit when the mass ratio of C16∶C18∶C22 was 30∶50∶20(as the total mass of natural fatty alcohol was 100 g). The fatty alcohol emulsion had better storage stability when the mass ratio of emulsifier GMS ∶O-30 ∶LAS was 6%∶1%∶1.5% and the mass ratio of fatty alcohol and emulsifier was 90%∶10%, and its particle size distribution had no deciding impact on emulsion stability.It was also found that in the storage temperature range of 5~40℃, fatty alcohol emulsion had the worst storage stability at 40℃.
