Abstract:Deinked pulp was used as raw material in this study. The effects of AmPAM dosage on drainage property of deinked pulp were investigated. Besides, drainage and retention properties were characterized by dynamic drainage jar(DDJ), UV-vis spectrophotometry and ash content. The result showed that the Zeta potential of pulp reached peak value when AmPAM dosage was 2.5%~3.0%. Zeta potential was not significantly affected by the change of pH value. After adding 0.30% AmPAM, the 30 seconds drainage was increased, at the same time, the first pass retention(FPR) and filler retention were improved by 70.0% and 48.6%, respectively.
