Abstract:The optimum swelling condition of dissolving pulp in NMMO- H2O dissolution system was investigated. On this basis dissolving pulp were pretreated separately by fiber classification, beating and enzymatic treatment through evaluating the swelling performance and physical property of the treated pulps feasible pretreatment method and mechanism which could improve the swelling performance of dissolving pulp in NMMO- H2O system was explored. The results indicated that the swelling rate of untreated dissolving pulp could reach up to 196% at the condition of swelling temperature 100℃, NMMO concentration 75%, swelling time 40 min. Classification pretreatment nearly had little effect on the swelling property of dissolving pulp, enzymatic pretreatment and beating pretreatment could increase the swelling rate from 196% to 225% and 320%, respectively.
