Abstract:The response surface method (RSM) was used to optimize the process conditions of cellulase pretreatment for MFC preparation in this study. At first, the single factor analysis of the properties of MFC were conducted by Malvern particle size analyzer and Congo red staining method; then, RSM analysis method was used to optimize the process conditions using the particle size and specific surface area of MFC as the response values. The results showed that the changes of pulp concentration, cellulase dosage and cellulase pretreatment time had a certain influence on the performance of MFC. It was concluded that the optimized conditions of cellulase pretreatment for MFC preparation were as follows: the pulp concentration was 10%, the cellulase dosage was 10.53 U/g, and the cellulase pretreatment time was 24 h.
