Abstract:In this study, taking advantages of the properties of adhesion and self-polymerization of dopamine, a layer of poly(dopamine)(PDA) was evenly covered on the cellulose film(CF), on which elementary silver particles were further loaded by using the reducing ability of PDA, finally the CF loaded with elementary silver particles was used for catalytic degradation of organic dyes in wastewater. The composite film was characterized by Uv-vis, FT-IR, SEM and XRD. The results showed that with the amount of the PDA increased on the surface of CF, the ability for reducing silver ions became much stronger, and had higher catalytic efficiency for the 4- nitro phenol which is organic dye intermediate.
