| Abstract:In order to improve the uniformity of cross direction basis weight of the paper sheet, a control system, which could adjust the cross direction basis weight by varying the stock consistency through adding more or less dilution water, was studied and designed. It was made up of detecting part, control part and actuator part. The control part got cross direction basis weight data by data exchanging with the detecting part. Then the intelligent control method was used to obtain the control output which was sent to the actuator to adjust the dilution water valves so as to realize the adjustment of cross direction basis weight. The system could work in two modes of manual control and auto control. Application tests showed that the system could effectively improve the distribution uniformity of cross direction basis weight. |
