| Abstract:The influences of the kind of combustion agent, the value of PN, the kinds of filler and pulp, calcium carbonate content, porosity of the cigarette paper on cigarette paper smoldering rate were studied. The results showed that smoldering rate value of the cigarette paper adding organic acid alkali sodium was higher than that of adding organic acid alkali potassium while the dosages of combustion agent were the same. The smoldering rate decreased as cigarette paper PN value increased when the value of PN was less than 80. When the value of PN was higher than 80, the decrease of smoldering rate was not obvious. The kinds of filler and pulp slightly effect on smoldering rate. Smoldering rate decreased as calcium carbonate content increased. Smoldering rate decreased as cigarette paper porosity increased. |
