| Abstract:The dryer cylinders are main part of drying section of paper machine. It is pressure vessel withstanding inner pressure, and made of brittle material cast iron. Its safe operation is guaranted from the aspects of design, fabrication and correct operation. In this article, on basis of years design practice and accident analysis, a correct fundamental concept in the design and construction of the cast iron dryer cylinder was proposed. |
