Abstract:TiO2-SiO2photocatalyst was prepared by using butyl titanate, tetraethoxysilane, absolute ethanol as raw material and adopting Sol-Gel technique. The preparation conditions were optimized by the signal-factor experiments, and the optimum conditions included 2.33∶1 of the mole ratio of butyl titanate and tetraethoxysilane, 600℃ of the calcining temperature, 3 h of the calcining time and 3 of solution pH value. The CODCr of the treated wastewater could be reduced to 67.8 mg/L under the conditions of 3 h of UV irradiation and 0.5 g/L of the TiO2-SiO2 dosage. The particle size of TiO2-SiO2photocatalyst ranged from 100 nm to 500 nm. TiO2-SiO2photocatalyst showed high catalytic activity and stability, and it could be used repeatedly for several times. Moreover, the comparison of TiO2-SiO2photocatalyst and TiO2 photocatalyst showed that, the treatment efficiency of paper mill wastewater by TiO2-SiO2 prevailed over TiO2 evidently. |
