| Abstract:To address the production challenges of high COD and significant alkali loss in the pulp of the sulfate pulp production line, this paper systematically analyzed the mechanisms underlying multiple adverse factors, including capacity expansion, water supply constraints, and fluctuations in raw material composition, tailor-made and implemented comprehensive process optimization and improvement measures. By installing baffles on the twin-roll pulp washer, the discharge concentration of the washed pulp was effectively increased. Replacing the existing pulp washing equipment in the oxygen bleaching section with a high-efficiency drum displacement pulp washer had significantly improved pulp washing efficiency and cleanliness. Optimizing the gas condensation system at the rear end of the oxygen bleaching section had resolved the issue of poor washing performance under high-temperature mist conditions. Additionally, the condensate water from the evaporation system was recycled for use as process wash water, and circular wood chip piles were established to stabilize the raw material composition. After the process optimization and upgrading, the pulp concentration at the production line increased by approximately 5%, and the alkali loss in the pulp decreased by 4.25 kg/adt. The production results indicated that the aforementioned comprehensive improvement measures could effectively reduce the COD of the pulp entering the D0 bleaching stage, decrease the amount of bleaching chemicals and sodium sulfate required, and significantly lower production costs. |
