Abstract:Radial straight-bar refiner segments are applied in the pulp refining process of the pulp and paper as well as related industries. Currently, research on the bar crossing theory and design method of the bar profile of radial straight-bar refiner segment is insufficient, which limits their effective application. This paper analyzed the bar profile characteristics and design basis of both central and non-central radial straight-bar refiner segments, elaborated the through, split and combined design methods for the bar profile of central radial straight-bar refiner segments, and investigated three design methods for the bar profile of non-central radial refiner segments based on the relative position of the radiation center, which laid a foundation for the parametric design and application of radial straight-bar refiner segments.
