| Abstract:In this study, using bleached softwood pulp as the raw material, a synergistic modification strategy combining phosphorylation cross-linking and carboxymethylation was proposed. Through a site-complementary design, the phosphorylation of the C6 hydroxyl group and the carboxymethylation of the C2 hydroxyl group of glucose units in cellulose were utilized to achieve efficient utilization of the active hydroxyl groups on the cellulose chains, successfully constructing bifunctional cationic exchange cellulose fibers (PC-CEF). The results indicated that PC-CEF possessed both high ion exchange capacity and excellent structural stability, with a cation exchange capacity of 304.5 mmol/100 g and a fiber yield of 111.6%, significantly outperforming traditional monofunctional or petroleum-based ion exchange fibers. The maximum adsorption capacity for Cu2+ was 82.56 mg/g, with the adsorption process following quasi-second-order kinetics and the Sips model, and the material demonstrated good recyclability and ion selectivity. |
