| Abstract:This study employed Citespace, a scientific citation visualization analysis tool, to conduct a comprehensive and multi-dimensional visualization analysis of the literatures related to carbon emissions in China’s papermaking industry from 2009 to 2025 based on the data from the China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) Chinese database. It explored the close connection between the research enthusiasm for carbon emissions in China’s papermaking industry and national macro policies. The research hotspots were sorted out from three aspects: macro-strategic goals, carbon accounting and traceability analysis, and industrial solutions. The results showed that the research efforts were particularly prominent in Beijing, Jiangsu, and Guangdong. And the research trajectory of carbon emissions in China’s papermaking industry initially focused on statistics of carbon emission phenomena and technological policies exploration, gradually evolved into a combination of theory and practice with an emphasis on the application of economic policy tools, and finally moved towards holistic and forward-looking research centered on achieving carbon neutrality goals. It reflected the continuous expansion and deepening of research perspectives and methods. |
