Abstract:Due to the excellent mechanical strength, processability, and safety,polymer electrolytes have been widely used in solid-state batteries, supercapacitors, sensors, and other fields. However, generally low ionic conductivity limits their application in high-energy-density energy storage devices. This paper summarized the main factors affecting ionic conductivity of polymer electrolytes—including interfacial effects, degree of ionization, polymer molecular weight,as well as various strategies to enhance the ionic conductivity of polymer electrolytes. It provided an in-depth comparative analysis of the impacts of material design, interfacial engineering, and the incorporation of functional fillers on the ionic conductivity of polymer electrolytes, furtuer discussed potential strategies for further improvements.
