Abstract:This review expounded on the fundamental concept of superhydrophobic, wetting theories, and performance evaluation systems. Based on the biomimetic concept of "surface rough structure construction and low surface energy modification", the preparation of superhydrophobic paper-based materials and their applications in oil-water separation, printing and packaging, agriculture, medicine and biosensing, were systematically reviewed. Additionally, in response to key challenges including large-scale preparation, long-term stability, and multi-functional integration, it provided an outlook on the future development directions of these materials.
