| Abstract:Cellulose, as the most abundant renewable resource in nature, is regarded as an ideal candidate material for formaldehyde-free wood adhesives due to its biodegradability, cost-effectiveness, and ease of modification. This paper summarized the physical pretreatment and chemical modification strategies of cellulose, outlines the application performance of modified traditional resins or directly prepared wood adhesives using cellulose, analyzed their performance in terms of bonding strength and water resistance, and provided prospects for the development of cellulose-based wood adhesives. |
