| Abstract:In order to explore the influence of different factors on multi-channel dryer drying of paper, the effects of pulp ratio, beating degree, paper basis weight, channel steam temperature and steam mass flux on paper drying characteristics and paper properties were studied by control variable method. The results showed that increasing the proportion of hardwood pulp and reducing the beating degree and basis weight were helpful to improve the air permeability and drying rate of paper, and the basis weight had the most significant effect on the drying rate of paper. The tensile index and tear index of paper increased with the decrease of the proportion of hardwood pulp and the increase of beating degree and basis weight. The tear index was the best when the beating degree was 25 °SR, and the tensile index was the best when the basis weight was 80 g/m2. Increasing the steam temperature and mass flux of the multi-channel dryer could increase the heat transfer and accelerate the drying rate, but it will reduce the air permeability of the paper. The tensile index and tear index increased first and then tended to be stable with the increase of steam parameters. The effect of steam temperature on paper was more significant. |
