| Abstract:This paper systematically reviewed the research progress in water vapor barrier performance of bio-based composites based on cellulose, starch, chitosan, protein, and other biomaterials in recent years, and briefly summarized the water vapor barrier mechanism of biomaterials. Meanwhile, this paper provided a comprehensive review of the applications of bio-based composites in food packaging, medical, and agriculture field. Finally, this paper gave an outlook on the future development direction and trend of biomass-based materials, which provided theoretical guidance and research ideas for the development of high-performance and multi-functional bio-based composites. |
