Abstract:Cellulose, as the most abundant renewable biomass resource in nature, plays a pivotal role in implementing green and sustainable development strategies within industrial sectors. This paper systematically investigated three critical dimensions: structure and properties, functionalized modification, and high-value applications of cellulose. Focusing on intrinsic performance optimization strategies, chemical functional group incorporation, and composite synergistic reinforcement mechanisms, and elaborated advanced functionalized approaches. It comprehensively examined cutting-edge applications derived from cellulose functionalized across diverse fields, while conducting an in-depth analysis of core challenges encountered during functionalized processes and value-added utilization. The paper further proposed future research priorities and development directions, aiming to provide innovative insights and solutions for replacing petroleum-based materials.
