| Abstract:The anatomical structure and chemical composition of three Broussonetia plants phloem (Broussonetia papyrifera, Broussonetia kazinoki, Broussonetia kaempferi Siebold) were studied, and the micro-region distribution characteristics of lignin and pectin were observed. The results showed that the phloem of three Broussonetia plants exhibited many similarities in terms of anatomical structure and chemical composition. Compared with Broussonetia papyrifera and Broussonetia kazinoki, the phloem fibroblasts in the Broussonetia kaempferi Siebold were more closely arranged, accounted for a higher proportion in the phloem, and had a higher content (63.31%) of holocellulose. The lignin content of the phloem of three Broussonetia plants phloem (approximately 14% to 16%) was lower than that of common wood and straw, and it was mainly deposited in the phellem layer, parenchyma tissue and phloem rays. The pectin content was 7% to 10%, and it was mainly distributed in the phloem rays, phellogen, and parenchyma. |
