Abstract:This paper explored the connotation of transformation and upgrading in the papermaking industry, proposed the concept of industrial transformation and upgrading capability, and constructed an evaluation model for upgrading capability. The model employed the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation for weight allocation and overall assessment. An empirical analysis was conducted using Huatai Group as a case study, evaluating its relevant data from 2019 to 2022 through the proposed model (with composite scores of 0.254, 0.359, 0.560, and 0.745, respectively). The results demonstrated a year-on-year improvement in Huatai Group’s transformation and upgrading capacity, particularly excelling in automated control system integration, production process data connectivity, and remote collaborative control.
