| Abstract:To address the high energy consumption and carbon emissions in the papermaking process, this study proposed a low-temperature refrigeration technology based on heat recovery using waste heat water-driven absorption heat pumps. Through in-depth analysis of actual engineering operation data from an ice water system retrofitted in a papermaking plant, the operational characteristics and techno-economic viability of the waste heat water-driven low-temperature refrigeration technology and its equipment were presented. According to the evaluation, it was estimated that 185 000 tons of steam could be saved annually, generating an annual revenue of approximately 20.71 million yuan. Additionally, CO₂ emissions would be reduced by 23 000 tons, demonstrating significant emission reduction benefits. |
