Abstract:This study focused on the automation instrumentation project within a bleached chemical pulp technical renovation initiative, providing an in-depth analysis of typical challenges in modern industrial automation instrumentation engineering across key phases such as design management, installation and commissioning, and equipment selection. Through empirical research, core conflicts including design drawing accuracy, instrument selection compatibility, and control system integration were systematically identified. An innovative “Three-dimensional Collaborative Management Model” was proposed. Additionally, technical management methodologies developed during project implementation, such as the “Five-step DCS Renovation Method” and “Three-verification Principle for Valve Selection”, offered critical references for analogous projects. Research data demonstrated that comprehensive optimization management could reduce project rework rates by 37%, shorten commissioning cycles by 42%, and decreased equipment failure rates by 65%, thereby strongly advancing the development of automation instrumentation engineering in the pulp and paper industry.
