| Abstract:Microencapsulation technology， as an advanced encapsulation technique， has become a research hotspot in the contemporary world. Microencapsulation technology can significantly improve the performance and functions of specialty paper by microencapsulating functional substances. In the field of specialty paper，microencapsulation technology is mainly applied to flame retardant， carbonless copying， fragrance release， etc. The continuous development of microencapsulation technology offers a vast scope for the innovation and application of specialty paper， and promotes the technological advancement and product diversification in the specialty paper industry. This paper introduced the excellent characteristics of microcapsules， the classification of commonly used wall materials， and main preparation techniques. It focused on elaborating the application of microcapsules in the specialty paper field， as well as the basic requirements for indicators and performance during the production process of specialty paper incorporating microcapsules. Additionally， it provided an outlook on the application prospects of microencapsulation technology in the specialty paper field. |
