Abstract:The Light Chemical Engineering major is strongly industry-oriented, which plays a critical role in many fields such as the development of technology and new products of papermaking industry, promoting the process of making industrial policies and promoting technological progress in the industry. The Inorganic Chemistry course is an important basic course in the curriculum system for cultivating talents majoring in Light Chemical Engineering. It is of great significance for cultivating students’ interest in chemistry and their learning of subsequent professional courses. Based on the characteristics of the Light Chemical Engineering major, this paper focused on golden course construction in Inorganic Chemistry and analyzed problems in the traditional Inorganic Chemistry teaching process, such as strong theoretical nature, high learning difficulty, and insufficient connection with the major. It conducted a series of explorations and practice of teaching reform on the Inorganic Chemistry course. The reform efforts were carried out from aspects such as the architecture of the curriculum system, the empowerment of teaching tools, the opportunities for the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship, the shift of the teaching subject, and the diversification of the evaluation system. Finally, this paper summarized and analyzed the specific implementation methods and the achieved results.
