Abstract:Yarn paper was prepared using 100% bleached kraft softwood pulp as raw the material, and the effects of preparation technology and waterborne polyurethane (WPU) impregnation on the mechanical properties of yarn paper were investigated. The results showed that the optimal mechanical properties were obtained when the fiber beating degree reached 45 °SR, the dosage of cationic starch (CS), amphoteric polyacrylamide (AmPAM) and polyamide epichlorohydrin (PAE) was 1.0%, 0.5‰ and 1.0% respectively, the dosage of MFC was 0.5%, and the amount of WPU impregnated was 0.5 g/m2. The longitudinal tensile index and transverse tensile index of the yarn paper prepared under these conditions were 118 and 23.8 N·m/g, respectively, and the longitudinal elongation at break was 4.3%.
