Abstract:With the theory of sustainable development as the background, the attachment mechanism of biomolecules on paper and its strategy to maintain activity and stability through immobilisation technology were introduced. The applications of biomolecular active papers in food, environment and medicine were also summarised, and biomolecular active papers were expected to be the future development direction of materials science and engineering. This paper reviewed the methods of combining biomolecules with paper and the applications of biomolecular active papers in different fields, aiming to provide a reference for the research of biomolecular active papers. The wide application potential of biomolecular active papers brings new challenges and opportunities in the fields of medical diagnosis, food safety, and environmental monitoring.
