| Abstract:In recent years, photocatalytic technology has become one of the effective ways to treat organic pollutants in wastewater. Lignin-based biochar materials were used as photocatalyst carriers to degrade organic pollutants by the combined adsorption and photocatalytic technology, showing good application prospects. The structural and physicochemical properties of lignin-based biochar materials could improve the light absorption, degradation activity, separability, and stability of photocatalysts. Therefore, this paper highlighted the types of biochar carriers and the methods of preparation and modification of the material, and emphasized the degradation mechanisms of organic pollutants in wastewater. Finally, the application and research progress of the composites for typical pollutants such as dyes, antibiotics, and phenols were summarized. |
