| Abstract:With the rapid growth of new energy vehicles worldwide and the rapid rise of the energy storage market, sodium ion batteries, as a representative of low-cost energy storage batteries, are ushering in new development opportunities. Lignin is an abundant natural resource, and the hard carbon materials prepared by lignin have excellent properties, which is undoubtedly the first choice for the anode of sodium ion batteries. In this paper, the advantages, working principle, Na+ storage mechanism and type of anode material of sodium ion batteries were introduced. This review comprehensively summarized recent advances in carbonization and heteroatom doping strategies for preparation of lignin-derived hard carbon anode materials, and critical challenges and future research priorities in this field were also discussed. |
