| Abstract:Based on the same accounting boundaries, energy and carbon emission models were constructed for a biomass combined heat and power (CHP) plant using the A-D-E-RC pulping method and a conventional alkaline pulping with coal-fired CHP plant. The energy consumption and carbon emissions of the two pulping combined plants were calculated using logistics balance and emission factor methods combined with measured data. The results showed that the unit product energy consumption of the pulping combined biomass CHP plant using the A-D-E-RC method was 26.8% lower than that of the conventional alkaline pulping combined plant, with a 51.2% reduction in energy consumption in the alkaline recovery unit. The unit product carbon emission of the pulping combined biomass CHP plant using the A-D-E-RC method was 1.72 tCO2/Adt, with 93.6% from biomass carbon, resulting in a total carbon emission reduction of 31.6%. Using the A-D-E-RC method for pulping combined with biomass CHP had significant energy-saving and emission-reducing effects, providing a new strategy for promoting the green and sustainable development of pulping combined enterprises. |
