| Abstract:In order to investigate the thermal conductivity of cigarette paper for heated tobacco, transient plane source method was used to detect the thermal conductivity of cigarette paper, and lab methodology verification was carried out to verify and study the effects of conventional physical indexes, calendering treatment, calcium carbonate addition, fiber raw material types, anti-penetration treatment, and temperature on the thermal conductivity of cigarette paper. The results showed that the intraday and interday precision of transient plane source method for measuring the thermal conductivity coefficients of cigarette paper were both lower than 4%. The thermal conductivity coefficients of cigarette paper had a significant positive correlation with the tightness and a negative correlation with the air permeability. After calendering, the fiber contact in cigarette paper was closer and the gap was smaller, the thickness and air permeability of cigarette paper decreased, the tightness increased, and the thermal conductivity of cigarette paper was significantly enhanced. The larger amount of calcium carbonate in cigarette paper, the larger thickness and air permeability of cigarette papers and the smaller tightness, the stronger the thermal conductivity. The thermal conductivity coefficients were different for the cigarette paper prepared from different fiber raw materials such as hemp pulp and wood pulp. The thermal conductivity coefficients of cigarette paper after anti-permeation treatment (modified starch coating amount of 0~0.17%) had no obvious change. The thermal conductivity of cigarette paper increased with the increase of temperature in the range of 22~250 ℃. |
