Abstract:The heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ frbrid was prepared by injecting heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ polymerization solution into the solidfication bath with high speed stirring. The heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ raw papers were further prepared via wet papermaking process. The effects of heterocyclic monomer content and polymer relative molecular weight on the storage stability of the heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ polymerization solution, the structure and morphology of the heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ fibrids were studied. The effects on the mechanical properties of the heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ raw papers were discussed. The results showed that the stable heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ polymerization solution could be prepared only when the heterocyclic monomer content was higher than 30%, and the fibrids prepared with heterocyclic monomer content higher than 40% had a larger ratio of length to diameter, which was suitable for papermaking. The polymer relative molecular weight had a great influence on the appearance of the fibrids. The fibrids prepared by the heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ polymerization solution with apparent viscosity in 10 000~20 000 cP, and the specific concentration logarithmic viscosity of 2.4~5.5 dL/g, had a higher ratio of length to diameter and specific surface area, and the further prepared heterocyclic aramid Ⅲ raw papers had excellent mechanical properties.
