| Abstract:Cellulose and its derivatives have emerged as prominent materials in various facets of lithium-ion battery technology, including separators, electrode materials and electrolyte. This surge in application is attributed to their cost-effectiveness, abundant availability, and environmentally friendly. This paper provided a comprehensive review of their applications within the context of lithium-ion batteries (LIB), highlighting the synergy between sustainable material cellulose and advanced energy storage system LIB, including LIB separators, LIB electrode materials, and polymer electrolytes. Additionally, this paper addressed the problems to be solved and outlined future directions for the utilization of cellulose and its derivatives in LIB applications. |
