Abstract:In recent years, natural filler polymers have been widely used in the field of 3D printing. Wood materials are gaining attention in the 3D printing field due to their renewable and environmentally friendly properties. This paper first introduced the sources and preparation methods of wood materials, and pointed out that the utilization rate of wood processing residues in China was not high at present, and the utilizations were few. Through increasing innovation in the utilization of wood processing residues, the combination of 3D printing technology could improve its utilization rate. Then, the principle and molding method of 3D printing melt deposition molding technology were discussed in detail, and its performance was summarized and discussed according to the characteristics and molding process of wood materials. The problems existing in wood materials melt deposition molding were analyzed and its development trend was forecasted.
