Abstract:There were many official records about “Qingshui Liansi Paper” in Qing Dynasty Court’s archives, but the current research on it was still insufficient. Starting from the archives of Qing Dynasty Court and combining with the artifact samples, the basic information and physical form of “Qingshui Liansi Paper” were expounded and discussed in this paper. The results showed that the “Qingshui Liansi Paper” was produced in Jiangnan Province in Qing Dynasty. It was white, thin, and smooth and its price was at a moderate level among all other paper produced and purchased by the government and businessmen. “Qingshui Liansi Paper” in the Qing Dynasty Court was mainly used for mounting, boxing, worshipping god and repairing books, etc. The paper fiber microscopic analysis of “Bingdihanfang” cultural relics samples demonstrated that the raw material of the supporting paper and the backing paper were both moso bamboo.
