Abstract:The light chemical engineering major of the local universities is the main position for training talents of the light industry in China. In this paper, taking the light chemical engineering major of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology as an example, based on the adjustment and integration of disciplines and majors, and new quality productive forces in China, the problems during the major development and talents cultivation in these years were analyzed intensively. The major orientation, training objective, curriculum system, and practice system were reformed and analyzed. The talents cultivation modes of “multidisciplinary & multielements” were proposed for the light chemical engineering major. The programmes for modularized curriculum system and practice teaching with college-enterprise cooperatives were further proposed. This study was helpful to provide research reference for building an emerging light chemical engineering education.
