Abstract:The effects of five metal ions (Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe3+, Cu2+ ,and Mn2+) and six non-silicon stabilizers on residual H2O2 content in chemi-mechanical pulp bleaching process were studied. The results showed that Ca2+ and Mg2+ could increase the residual H2O2 content, while Fe3+,Cu2+, and Mn2+ reduced the residual H2O2 content significantly. The calcium and iron chelation values of hydroxyethyl diphosphonic acid (HEDP) were the highest in non-silicon stabilizer, with calcium chelation value of 434.0 mg/g and iron chelation value of 243.6 mg/g. Diethylenetriamine pentamethylene phosphonic acid (DTPMP) could effectively inhibit the ineffective decomposition of H2O2 in the bleaching process, the residual H2O2 content was up to 4.0%, and the whiteness of the pulp was 69.9%,when Mn2+ mass concentration was 1 mg/kg. |
