Abstract:In this paper, the structure, species and properties of lignin, as well as its research progress in the field of sunscreen were reviewed. Combined with our research in describing the preparation of different lignin-based sunscreens, the anti-ultraviolet radiation performance and color presentation mechanism of lignin were highlighted, and strategies of protecting anti-ultraviolet radiation performance while reducing color of lignin were explored. Furthermore, the development and utilization of lignin were prospected. In order to provide a significant reference for the resource utilization of lignin in the field of cosmetics.
