Abstract:The fiber morphology and structure of ten species of wild bamboo in Guangxi (Bambusa textilis, Schizostachyum funghomii, Bambusa pervariabilis, Bambusa grandis, Bambusa Validus, Dendrocalamus sapidus, Dendrocalamus minor var. amoenus, Bambusa surrecta, Schizostachyum auriculatum, Bambusa remotiflora) were studied. The results showed that the fibers of the ten species of wild bamboo were straight and slender, of which the longest fiber was the Dendrocalamus minor var. amoenus (3.19 mm). The fiber density of ten species of wild bamboo ranged from 1.20 to 1.45 g/cm3. Among them, the density of Bambusa textilis fiber (1.21 g/cm3) was the smallest. The microfibril angles of ten wild bamboo fibers were between 8° and 11°. |
