Performance Analysis of Rod-shaped Granular Fuel Based on Wheat Straw Residue from Biochemical Mechanical Pulping Process |

Abstract:In order to improve the resource utilization efficiency of whole components of agricultural waste wheat straw, the waste residue of wheat straw and pulping waste liquid from the biochemical mechanical pulping process were mixed to prepare wheat residue based rod-shaped granular fuel (short for granular fuel) by hydraulic molding technology in this study. The effects of wheat residue size and waste liquid dosage on the morphology, stability, physical properties, and combustion performance of granular fuel were investigated. The results showed that the optimal preparing conditions of granular fuel were the wheat residue size range of [0.22,0.90) mm and pulping waste liquid dosage of 36.31%. The prepared granular fuel at optimal preparing conditions had excellent stability, physical properties, and combustion performance, with the relaxation density of 1.50 g/cm3, the crushing resistance of 99.94%, the impermeability time of 105 min, the transverse compressive strength of 75.1 MPa, the radial compressive strength of 1.53 MPa, the caloric value of 11 715 J/g, and the combustion time of 99 s. |
