Abstract:In this paper, cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) suspension was prepared by acid hydrolysis method and added to SiO2/carboxyl methyl cellulose (CMC ) coating to prepare a bio-based coating for thermal sublimation transfer paper. The results showed that CNC had a certain dispersion effect on SiO2/CMC agglomeration. Compared with SiO2/CMC coated thermal sublimation transfer paper, the transverse and longitudinal tensile fingers of SiO2/CMC/CNC coated thermal sublimation transfer paper with CNC content of 2.0% increased by 9.2% and 9.3% , the smoothness increased by 31.9%, and the air permeability decreased by 46.0%. The ink absorption value decreased by 3.4% and drying speed increased by 24.3%, the average color density of substrate increased from 1.01 to 1.21, and the ink transfer rate increased from 80.1% to 88.5%. It could be seen that the addition of CNC improved the mechanical and thermal transfer performance of thermal sublimation transfer paper. |
