Abstract:Deep eutectic solvent (DES)-pretreated alkaline lignin was prepared using p-toluenesulfonic acid and choline chloride(TA/CC) and resulted in a phenol-rich lignin essential oil extract. It was subsequently incorporated into poplar pulp to produce antibacterial paper. The results demonstrated that the pretreatment of lignin with DES led to the generation of a significant number of phenolic hydroxyl groups, and the prepared antibacterial paper exhibited an inhibition rate of approximately 100% against Escherichia coli, suggesting significant potential applications in fields such as food packaging paper and medical paper. |
