Abstract:Dissolving pulp was a bleached pulp with α-cellulose content higher than 90%, as a raw material for the manufacturing of various cellulose industrial products, was not only an important additive in pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, and other industrial fields, but also used to make materials such as mobile phone screens. Therefore, the purity and quality requirements for dissolving pulp were constantly improved. Purification of dissolving pulp through physical and chemical methods to improve α-cellulose content, removal of hemicellulose, lignin carbohydrate (LCC), and other impurities in dissolving pulp were effective methods to improve the purity of dissolving pulp. This review compared and analyzed the purification methods of dissolving pulp, including biological, chemical, and their combination methods. It also analyzed the mechanisms of various purification technologies, summarized the advantages and disadvantages of each technology in purifying dissolving pulp, and proposed ideas and methods for preparing high-purity dissolving pulp.
