Abstract:The prehydrolysate is a waste liquid produced during the production of dissolved pulp via prehydrolyzed sulfate method, containing a large amount of hemicellulose and a small amount of lignin. The hemicellulose in the prehydrolysate can be prepared high value-added products such as furfural based on biomass refining technology, and the presence of lignin would seriously hinder the preparation of furfural. Thus the prerequisite for efficient preparation of furfural is the purification of the prehydrolysate, especially the removal of lignin. In this paper, the purification method of wood fiber prehydrolysate and the influencing factors of yield during furfural preparation were reviewed, the applications of adsorption method, membrane filtration method, and flocculation method in the purification of prehydrolysate were elaborated, and the effects of catalyst and reaction system on the yield during furfural preparation were discussed. |
