Abstract:Lignin is a biopolymer only second to cellulose in the world, and it is also the most abundant aromatic resource available for human on the earth. The rich functional groups in lignin also provide the possibility of high value utilization of lignin. In this paper, based on the latest development trend of lignin-based hydrogel, the preparation methods, application fields and development status of lignin-based hydrogel were reviewed, the latest research results of lignin-based hydrogels in the popular fields of biomedicine, strain sensing and adsorption were introduced in detail.
